Back in January, we had the BBC’s Phil McCann pop into our headquarters to get under the hood of what we do here at Soldiers On The Move. We decided to bring them along on one of our Altrincham house moves so they could learn more about the team and our day-to-day operations.
We introduced Phil & his camera crew to three core members of our team on location (Daz, Kenny & Carl) to hear their stories, and more importantly, to find out how they’ve transitioned from active service to a civilian lifestyle with Soldiers On The Move.
Meeting The Crew
Once we touched down in Altrincham, Phil and his team were keen to talk to Carl & Kenny, particularly to learn more about their own personal journeys in and out of service.
Danny, our Managing Director, founded Soldiers On The Move after 13 years of service with the Royal Marines. His vision wasn’t just to provide domestic and commercial customers with exceptional moving services; it was to give veterans a place they belonged outside of the Armed Forces, embracing the same camaraderie and close relationships they’d experienced within the services.
Carl and Kenny are both highly experienced removals experts who work day to day for Soldiers On The Move. Carl served with the Mercian regiment for 8 years, whereas Kenny is an ex Royal Marine with 15 years of service.
With this in mind, Phil and the crew wasted no time asking all the important questions, and our lads were more than happy to answer.
