The Underbanks has so much to offer, including some pretty decent eateries as well as a bunch of places to get your hands on some sweet sweet clobber.
Thanks to the Rediscovering the Underbanks initiative (backed by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and local investment), this area has been revitalised into a lively quarter packed with independent boutiques, cafés, wine bars and creative spaces.
The Underbanks consists of the Great Underbank, the Little Underbank and Rostron Brow. If you take a stroll through the Underbanks, you’ll notice the cobbled streets and beautiful Victorian architecture. The Underbanks have been a vital trading route for centuries and is still Stockport’s finest shopping street.
